Making the Ordinary, Extraordinary
It has been warmer these past few days, so I’m hoping Spring will soon be sprung! Lavender and fragrant flowers bobbing in the breeze, honey bees flitting about, and a pile of cushions on the back deck while I cozen up to a good read.
The lavender is still out right now, though it’s leggy and most of the flowers are closed up. I was spending a spare moment on the front porch, blowing bubbles and watching as they burst on the woody stems. I blew them so they got tumbled about by the wind, clapping when they blew three feet away and cheering when they went six feet on without popping. I’m sure any passing neighbors would have wondered where the insane girl they were hearing was hiding, but I was thankfully hidden by some dormant shrubs out front. It was only a moment in my busy day, but it was still something special. It give me the strength to go on and face the pile of homework and dreadfully dull textbooks awaiting me inside with a glimmer of a grin.
*Edit: This looks so pretty, doesn’t it? It’s clear in the front and kind of faded in the background. Remember, I did this without Photoshop, or any smartphone apps.
